At Apple Valley Veterinarians, we consider ourselves experts in veterinary care. But, we also know that it doesn’t matter if we think we are great veterinarians, you need to think so too! We’ve been around since 1972 so today we wanted to share more of our history with you.
Apple Valley Veterinarians – Our History
We are lucky to have two wonderful veterinarians on staff at present: Dr. Herbert S. Freiman, who received his veterinary degree in 1970 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Freiman opened Apple Valley Veterinarians in 1972, making ours the first veterinary practice in Plantsville, CT.
Dr. Eric Rothstein received his veterinary degree in 1991 from the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, and has been with us at Apple Valley since 1998.
Serving as the client-hospital relations liaison since 1973 is Dr. Alan H. Douglas, who graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1970. Although, he longer directly assists patients, he has made himself readily available daily to answer questions and implement suggestions on how to improve their practice.
In addition to our veterinary staff, we are lucky to have several skilled veterinary technicians and reception staff in our facility. At Apple Valley, we have a deep passion for pets and a true devotion to providing the best level of pet care services.
